American Medical Association Awards Prevencio Fourth Proprietary CPT® Billing Code for AI-Powered HART PAD Blood Test
Kirkland-based Prevencio received its fourth proprietary Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) billing code from the American Medical Association for its AI-powered HART PAD blood test, which helps identify peripheral artery disease through a blood sample. The new billing code supports reimbursement and commercialization of the company’s device.
The HART PAD test expands Prevencio’s portfolio of AI-driven cardiovascular diagnostics, which use multiple protein biomarkers to help detect disease earlier and support clinical decision-making. Missy Martin-Kemp, chief commercial officer at Prevencio, said the new AMA billing code marks “another important milestone” as the company continues to grow its precision diagnostics business.
The recognition highlights Washington’s leadership in AI-enabled diagnostics and shows continued innovation within the state’s medical technology companies.
