Seattle-area company VerAvanti lands $31.5M to develop scopes to prevent strokes, heart attacks
Bothell-based VerAvanti announced it has raised $31.5 million to further develop its ultra-thin imaging scopes aimed at preventing strokes and heart attacks.
Founded on technology licensed from the University of Washington, the company’s laser-scanning scopes enable doctors and surgeons to look inside a patient’s intravascular anatomy in real-time, improving detection of causes of strokes and cardiac events.
This milestone adds to a robust ecosystem of innovative medtech solutions in the greater Seattle area that are addressing the world’s most pressing health challenges.
