Seattle Children’s Awarded More Than $10 Million From Pediatric Prevention Network

Seattle Children’s will receive $10.75 million to lead the Pediatric Prevention Network’s work across the Pacific Northwest, expanding pediatric disaster preparedness and access to care across Washington, Alaska, Idaho, Oregon, Montana and Wyoming.

The funding builds on Seattle Children’s work with 40 community emergency departments, including 25 critical access hospitals. Over the next five years, the organization will expand that work with a focus on areas including youth mental health crisis response, emergency medical services and telehealth.

The funding expands Seattle Children’s role in improving pediatric care across the Pacific Northwest and demonstrates the specialized health care expertise based in Washington
