Fewer lab animals, better drugs: This startup wants to fix how experiments get designed
Seattle-based ModernVivo is using AI to help scientists design preclinical drug studies faster and reduce reliance on animal testing. Its platform analyzes scientific publications alongside clinical trial and regulatory data to help researchers gather information that can traditionally require weeks of manual review.
The company has customers anging from small biotech firms to large pharmaceutical companies and has raised $1 million in pre-seed funding. ModernVivo also participated in local programs including WTIA’s founder cohort and Creative Destruction Lab’s Seattle program as it works to grow its platform.
