Moving faster than planned, AI drug developer Accipiter Bio quietly tops up seed round with $10.5M

Seattle-based Accipiter Biosciences raised an additional $10.5 million from existing investors less than a year after emerging from stealth with $12.7 million in funding and partnerships with Pfizer and Kite Pharma. The follow-on investment comes sooner than expected as the company’s research for its AI-designed, multi-target protein therapeutics advanced ahead of schedule.

The funding will support team growth and allow Accipiter to expand its pipeline to three or four clinical-stage drug candidates, with an increased focus on immunology while continuing to develop its lead oncology program.

Accipiter’s accelerated investment showcases Washington’s leadership in AI-driven biotech as companies across the state are continuing to advance new approaches to drug discovery.
