Aptevo Strengthens Solid Tumor Strategy with Patent Filing for Nectin-4 x PD-L1 Dual Targeting Backbone
Aptevo Therapeutics, headquartered in Seattle, announced a new solid tumor strategy centered on a patent application for a proprietary Nectin-4 x PD-L1 dual-targeting backbone. The technology is designed to expand the company’s oncology pipeline while supporting multiple therapeutic approaches and future partnerships.
According to the company, the platform could be adapted for radiopharmaceuticals, T-cell engagers and other immune-based therapies, allowing multiple therapeutic approaches to be developed from a single backbone. Jeff Lamothe, president and chief executive officer of Aptevo, said, “This filing is about building value from our science and using it to create more ways to fight solid tumors.”
Aptevo’s patent filing is the latest in Washington’s strong portfolio of oncology innovation advancing next-generation cancer therapies for the Pacific Northwest and beyond.
