AGC Biologics partners with Pyramid for US based fill-finish offering
AGC Biologics announced a strategic partnership with Pyramid Pharma Services to provide integrated U.S.-based drug substance manufacturing and sterile fill-finish services for biopharmaceutical developers.
The collaboration combines AGC Biologics’ development and manufacturing capabilities with Pyramid’s expertise in sterile injectable drug products, including vial filling, pre-filled syringes, cartridges, device assembly, labeling and packaging for clinical programs. Christoph Winterhalter, chief business officer at AGC Biologics, said, “With this U.S.-based fill-finish option, our Seattle site is well-positioned for developers that desire or even require end-to-end production in the U.S.” The new offering complements the company’s existing European fill-finish capabilities while providing customers with greater supply chain flexibility and integrated project management designed to accelerate development timelines.
This partnership strengthens Washington’s state life sciences manufacturing ecosystem by expanding end-to-end biomanufacturing capabilities in the Seattle region and enhancing access to integrated development and production services for innovative therapies.
