Tasso rolls out new at-home dried blood spot sample collectors for remote clinical trials
Tasso, a Seattle-based maker of at-home blood sample collection systems, is launching the next generation of its devices that aim to support patients enrolled in clinical trials and simplify their participation in drug development.
The company’s new Tile-T20 cartridge and wearable Tasso Mini push-button lancet collect four precise blood samples to help biopharma researchers and drug developers chart the concentrations of their medications and establish proper doses without forcing participants to travel to a clinical site. “By making quality sample collection simple, convenient, and virtually painless, the industry can reduce barriers to clinical trial recruitment and drive compliance,” said Tasso co-founder and CEO Ben Casavant.
This new technology is set to improve trial timelines and accelerate the delivery of new therapies to patients in need across Washington state and beyond.
