First Ever Bioscience Infrastructure and Ecosystem Building Grant and Spokane Early-Stage Grant Awardees Announced

The Health Sciences and Services Authority (HSSA) of Spokane has awarded more than $600,000 through its inaugural Bioscience Infrastructure and Ecosystem Building Grants and Spokane Early-Stage Grants programs, providing funding to eight recipients: Asante Health, Launchpad INW Foundation, Startup Spokane, Women Helping Women Fund, HuT Biosciences, Ithos Wellness, Manifest Labels and Pacific Microdevices.

The grants support projects that expand primary care access, strengthen the regional bioscience startup ecosystem, improve health data resources, and advance emerging technologies in aging research, behavioral health, pharmaceutical safety, and rapid DNA testing. HSSA Executive Director Erin Williams Hunter said, “We are thrilled to follow the progress of these impressive grant recipients,” noting that the programs will strengthen resources available to help innovative companies grow in Spokane County.

The awards reflect continued investment in Eastern Washington’s life sciences ecosystem to support organizations and startups that are expanding the region’s capacity for healthcare innovation, commercialization, and future job growth.
