Adaptive Biotechnologies plans to separate its MRD and Immune Medicine businesses

Adaptive Biotechnologies announced plans to pursue a separation of its Minimal Residual Disease and Immune Medicine businesses to support the growth and strategic focus of each operation.

The company said it is evaluating structural alternatives for its Immune Medicine business and expects to determine its preferred path by the end of 2026. Adaptive noted that both businesses have continued to advance since becoming separate operating segments in 2024, and the review is intended to better support their individual capital needs and long-term value creation.

The planned separation reflects the continued evolution of Washington’s biotechnology sector as companies position specialized platforms for future growth and investment.
