A new Westlake-backed biotech takes aim at migraines
Seattle-based Vedana Therapeutics emerged from stealth with $46 million in Series A financing to develop next-generation therapies for migraine prevention.
The company is advancing long-acting antibody therapies targeting PACAP, an increasingly prominent approach for preventing migraines, with funding co-led by Westlake BioPartners and Canaan Partners. According to the company, its goal is to develop treatments that enable patients to achieve greater freedom from migraine through clinically validated pathways.
Vedana’s launch adds to the region’s growing pipeline of venture-backed biotechnology companies developing innovative therapies for significant unmet medical needs.
