Omeros rises as Novo deal boosts Q4 earnings
Omeros reported stronger-than-expected fourth quarter results, driven primarily by its partnership with Novo Nordisk for rare disease therapy zaltenibart.
The company posted $86.5 million in net income for the quarter, compared with a net loss of $31.4 million in the prior-year period, after recording a $237.6 million net gain tied to the Novo Nordisk agreement. Excluding a non-cash derivative charge, the company reported $222.5 million in non-GAAP results, exceeding consensus expectations by $2.78 per share. CEO Gregory Demopulos said, “These successes are expected to fuel the development of a growing portfolio of commercial products from our robust pipeline as we target positive cash flow in 2027.”
The results demonstrate how a major partnership can accelerate commercialization and financial performance for Seattle-based biotech companies.
