HSSA Awards $3.25 Million in Spokane County’s Bioscience and Health Industry
The Health Sciences and Services Authority (HSSA) of Spokane awarded $3.25 million in grants to five bioscience and health companies to support research, development, and commercialization in Spokane County.
The selected companies are advancing work in areas including wildfire mitigation, healthcare credentialing, cervical cancer prevention, drug metabolism, and oral health, with each recipient securing one to one matching funds to bring additional resources into the region. The awards are expected to create 19.5 well-paying jobs over the next two years and support efforts to improve health outcomes and healthcare systems in Spokane County.
This funding contributes to ongoing efforts to improve health, healthcare delivery, and economic growth within Spokane County’s bioscience and health sector.
