Philips rolls out major AI upgrades to cardiac ultrasound platforms
Philips announced a sweeping set of AI upgrades to its cardiac ultrasound systems, aiming to improve diagnostic accuracy and streamline workflows for clinicians.
The improvements include adding AI-powered 2D and 3D applications that automatically calculate key cardiac measures such as ejection fraction, wall motion, and chamber volumes, while also sharpening image contrast and detail. “These innovations empower clinicians to deliver high-quality care more efficiently and with greater confidence,” said Bert van Meurs, Chief Business Leader of Philips’ Image-Guided Therapy division.
This advancement strengthens the Pacific Northwest’s standing as a hub for digital health and medical technology innovation, where global companies like Philips continue to invest in AI-driven healthcare solutions.
