Two Spokane innovation clusters land state funds
Two Spokane-based innovation clusters have each secured $140,000 through the Washington State Department of Commerce’s Innovation Cluster Accelerator Program.
The Evergreen Bioscience Innovation Cluster will use the funds to launch a bioscience incubator focused on “climate-smart lab operations,” including a two-year lease of a 3,400-square-foot lab-and-office space for startups addressing public-health challenges. The Inland Northwest Energy Innovation Cluster plans to use the funds to advance regional grid modernization, energy resilience, and clean energy.
These investments underscore Spokane’s growing role in advancing Washington’s life science and energy innovation ecosystems.
