Seattle median household income hits $121,000, census data shows

The Census Bureau’s annual American Community Survey revealed that the median household income in Seattle rose to $121,000 last year, marking an all-time high.

Seattle is ranked as the third highest U.S. city for median household income behind San Jose and San Francisco. According to this new survey, in Seattle, the median income for women living alone is about $62,000, while for men living alone, it is approximately $74,000; both are significantly higher than the national averages of $36,000, and $46,000 respectively.
