Seattle ranks among top 10 park systems in the country

Nonprofit organization Trust for Public Land ranked Seattle’s public park system as the eighth-best in the country.

The study ranked the park systems of America’s 100 most populated cities, using categories of access, investment, amenities, acreage and equity to determine their standing.

“Seattle is a city of natural beauty, made even more special by the dedicated work of park partners and professionals,” Mayor Bruce Harrell said.
