Washington’s life sciences continue to grow, with activity spurred by mergers and acquisitions. In fact, three of this year’s 10 largest biotech acquisitions nationwide have involved Washington-based companies, as highlighted in the Life Science Washington News in the NW Newsletter.
Additionally, a new report from CBRE ranks Seattle third in life sciences employment growth, with the city experiencing the largest increase seen across America from 2019-2022.
Washington state is also ranked as a top 10 life sciences cluster, with the industry currently supporting over 100,000 jobs in the state and an annual economic impact of $35.5 billion.
