Asha AI app, which helps elderly manage their care, among startups pitching at life science event
Asha AI, a startup working to simplify healthcare tasks for the elderly, showcased its technology during the recent Life Science Washington Innovation Northwest poster session after debuting on the iOS app store in April.
The app aims to help the elderly manage tasks such as medication, setting up appointments and connecting with caregivers. It is voice-enabled through Siri and uses text optimized for those with vision or hearing impairments.
“The premise is to create something that is just really intuitive for older folks to use, that inspires them to be more independent about how they’re managing their care, and helps them stay connected to their loved ones and care team members,” said Rashmi Joshi, CEO and founder of Asha AI.
