Just-Evotec Takes J.Train Continuous Platform to Market
Just-Evotec has launched its J.Train continuous biomanufacturing platform to the broader market following validation through a facility sale to Sandoz.
The platform integrates end-to-end continuous processing using single-use perfusion bioreactors, enabling higher productivity and reduced manufacturing footprint compared to traditional batch methods. “We have built a fully end-to-end continuous intensified manufacturing process, and we have designed facilities to run these processes in,” said Lisa Connell-Crowley, SVP of Process and Product Design at Just-Evotec, noting the company can deploy the system within existing or new facilities. Company leaders also emphasized that continuous processes can deliver up to ten times the output of conventional methods while offering flexibility to scale production.
The expansion of manufacturing platforms in Redmond reinforces the region’s role as a hub for bioprocessing innovation and scalable biologics production.
