Allen Institute opens Education Lab to support and inspire next generation of scientists in Seattle and beyond
The Allen Institute has opened a new 1,327 square-foot Education Lab, providing immersive, authentic learning experiences for learners at all levels.
“Our unique lab experiences are for communities at every stage of their science career, from professionals to students in their first biology class,” said Kaitlyn Casimo, M.Ed., Ph.D., manager of the Allen Institute’s Education and Engagement team. “Even if those students don’t go on to become scientists, we hope to build their science literacy and enthusiasm.”
The Education Lab strengthens Washington’s pipeline of homegrown talent, supporting the state’s long-term leadership in the life sciences.
