HSSA doles out over $4M for bioscience economic development

The Health Sciences & Services Authority (HSSA) of Spokane County awarded over $4.4 million in grants this winter to support bioscience innovation and expand healthcare access in the region.
Ten biotech companies and seven healthcare providers with planned or existing presences in Spokane received funding to drive economic development and address provider shortages. The top three biotech grant recipients were Inherent Biosciences Inc., Quadralynx and Integrated Lipid Biofuels LLC, receiving $1 million, $982,851 and $500,000, respectively.
These grants will help advance new therapies and procedures to combat disease and promote public health, further strengthening Spokane’s emerging life sciences hub.
