Seattle biotech launches with $187 million for cancer treatments
Callio Therapeutics, which has dual headquarters in Seattle and Singapore, launched on Monday, March 3, with a $187 million Series A round.
Specializing in cancer treatments, the spinout from Frazier Life Sciences is using the money to achieve proof of concept for its treatments. “We are delighted to be launching Callio Therapeutics with the support of Frazier Life Sciences and this syndicate of investors,” said Piers Ingram, co-founder and CEO of Callio.
With this funding, Callio will strengthen a robust ecosystem of cancer research and drug development companies in the Greater Seattle area.
