Three Spokane Based Companies, One Seattle Based Company, and SRHD Receive HSSA Matching Grants for Bioscience Based Economic Development
The Health Sciences and Services Authority of Spokane County (HSSA) has awarded matching grants for bioscience-based economic development to three Spokane-based companies, one Seattle-based company and the Spokane Regional Health District (SRHD).
Seattle-based Remmie Health, a company specializing in AI-powered ear-nose-throat (ENT) solutions, received a $1,250,000 matching grant, the largest in HSSA’s history, to open a commercial services hub in downtown Spokane. Precision Quantomics, a WSU spinoff offering services to assist drug development, was awarded a $294,540 matching grant to improve health outcomes for underrepresented patient groups. Spokane-based Slate Dental received a $250,000 matching grant to make improvements in oral health linked to long term health concerns such as Alzheimer’s disease.
These grants will strengthen Spokane’s growing life sciences hub and contribute to the state’s innovation within the sector.
