Top 10 Spatial Biology Companies of 2024
LSW members RareCyte and Alpenglow Biosciences were ranked among the top 10 spatial biology companies of 2024.
RareCyte raised $125 million in 2024, including a $20 million financing round from new and existing investors to expand its Orion spatial biology platform. Alpenglow Biosciences announced it won up to $23 million in federal contracts in August, and co-founder Jonathan T.C. Liu, Ph.D., of the University of Washington was awarded up to $21 million as part of Biden’s Cancer Moonshot initiative to develop a technology to assist tumor removal.
The success of RareCyte and Alpenglow Biosciences solidifies the region’s status as a leader in spatial biology, further positioning Seattle at the forefront of life science innovation.
