Potato’s AI research assistant digs through publications for science experiment inspiration
Seattle-based startup Potato announced a $1 million pre-seed round surrounding their AI scientific research assistant, Potato AI.
“The goal is really to enable researchers to quickly distill scientific content and design repeatable, modified experiments so they can speed up the journey to medical breakthroughs,” said Ryan Kosai, co-founder and chief technology officer of Potato. The platform is already being used at labs at the University of Washington, Stanford University, Harvard University, and Massachusetts Institute of Technology, among others.
By accelerating the process of scientific discovery, Potato strengthens Seattle’s research hub and emerging AI sector, which is rapidly driving innovation at the intersection of AI and life sciences.
