New immunology institute reimagines postdoctoral training
The UW Medicine Institute for Translational Immunology announced it is revamping its postdoctoral training program to further advance the field of translational medicine.
Motivated by the successes in vaccines and therapeutics achieved during the Covid-19 pandemic, the Institute is modernizing its fellowships by incorporating new development initiatives in communication, leadership, mentorship, networking, and career-specific education. These programs are designed to empower postdoctoral fellows with the skills necessary to become successful scientists regardless of career path.
Through these innovations, the Institute for Translational Immunology stands out from traditional postdoc fellowship programs by emphasizing and streamlining the transition from translational research to tangible advancements in human health.
