$5.25M from the Kuni Foundation propels innovative adult oncology research

Principal investors at Fred Hutch Cancer Center and UW Medicine received $5.25 million in grants from the Kuni Foundation, a Vancouver, Washington-based organization dedicated to advancing underfunded research areas. The grants will support various projects focused on tumor regression and improving care for adult cancers, including breast, liver, and peritoneal malignancies.

“The Pacific Northwest is a hub for bold, visionary cancer research, and we’re inspired by the inventive work happening at Fred Hutch and UW Medicine,” said Angela Hult, Kuni Foundation president.

These grants reinforce Fred Hutch’s position at the forefront of oncology treatment and further solidify Washington state’s biotech hub as one of the nation’s premier research centers.
