Recently, Seattle Mayor Bruce Harrell and Spokane Mayor Lisa Brown met for a fireside chat at a Technology Alliance event. During the event, the mayors discussed what makes both cities unique places to live and their vision for the future.
Speaking about the growing life science and tech hub in Spokane, Mayor Brown said, “Our clusters are actually not just in one area. I’m sure many of you are already familiar with our life sciences and pharmaceutical manufacturing economy, which has recently expanded with Jubilant HollisterStier’s expansion. But you may not be aware that we were recently designated as one of 31 tech hubs.” As part of President Biden’s Investing in America agenda, Spokane has been identified as one of 31 regional centers primed for technological innovation and job creation.
