Grant programs announced for Washington life science startups
Life Science Washington Institute announced two new grant programs at its annual East West Summit. The grants will be used to fund life sciences startups within Washington. Together, the programs can provide as much as $50,000 to eligible organizations.
The SBIR/STTR Matching Fund and Washington Competes programs aim to help entrepreneurs who serve rural and underserved populations. The SBIR/STTR Matching Fund grant caters to life sciences companies outside King County, while the Washington Competes grant targets companies that are owned by women or face social and economic disadvantages.
Information sessions will be held for both programs on June 23 following the release of the funds.
