The top 10 Big Pharmas for their diversity, equity and inclusion efforts in 2022

Bristol Myers Squibb (BMS) ranked fourth in a new report focused on pharma companies’ diversity, equity and inclusion rankings. Bayer, Gilead Sciences and Sanofi were among the other top-ranking companies for DEI.

BMS’s high ranking is attributed to the company issuing $7.9 million in health equity grants to 24 U.S. nonprofits. In addition, the company hosted leadership development workshops alongside their Network of Women (B-NOW) and Black Organization for Leadership, where students are integrated into life science culture to make STEM programs more accessible.

The company also built upon its existing $150 million investment to accelerate five diversity and inclusion and health equity commitments through 2025, including increasing diversity in clinical trials and increasing workforce representation.
