Nonprofit Seattle vaccine maker AAHI receives $26M donation
Seattle-based biotech non-profit, Access to Advanced Health Institute (AAHI) announced a $26 million donation from the Chan Soon-Shiong Family Foundation (CSSFF).
The donation will be used to develop new temperature-stable vaccines that will protect against COVID-19 variations. AAHI’s technology is also designed to fight infectious diseases, cancer, allergies, and fungal and parasitic infections and focuses on providing vaccines that are accessible across geographic and economic regions.
“We are grateful and excited to invest this donation in bringing our immune-enhancing adjuvant and RNA technologies to the clinic and into commercial-scale production,” said AAHI CEO, Corey Casper. “Our team is intent on innovation to make our technologies affordable and accessible, even in hard-to-reach areas of the world, so that we can change lives for the better in tangible ways.”
