To fight opioid crisis, UW researchers take new shot at developing vaccine against addictive drugs
The University of Washington has officially opened the Center for Medication Development for Substance Use Disorders after raising more than $2 million in funding. Researchers aim to put resources toward developing a vaccine that could cure drug addiction.
“What I’m hoping to achieve is pretty much every year, we’re going to start a new clinical trial,” said Professor Marco Pravetoni, who will be leading the Center for Medication Development for Substance Use Disorders.
