Allen Institute launches new division to study brain circuits and behavior in mammals
The Allen Institute has launched a new division focused on exploring how the brain learns, memorizes and executes other complex actions.
Karel Svoboda will be relocating from the Howard Hughes Medical Institute’s Janelia Research Campus in Virginia to be the leading neuroscientist of The Allen Institute for Neural Dynamics in Seattle.
“The Allen Institute for Neural Dynamics will focus on understanding how the brain, as a whole, solves problems to drive our behavior and ultimately to enable our survival in complex and ever-changing environments,” said Svoboda.
