Medical device startup Nanodropper raises $1.4M for eye drop bottle adapter
Nanodropper, a medical device startup founded by University of Washington and Seattle University graduates, announced that it received $1.4 million in seed funding. The company’s FDA-approved adapter for eye drop bottles reduces the size of eye drops by a quarter or more, saving both money and medication.
Founded in 2018, the company previously raised funding from the University of Washington Hollomon Health Innovation Challenge, grants, and angel investors. The startup also landed two contracts with the U.S. Air Force last year, worth roughly $550,000.
