Education, Energy and Economy Lead Washington to Top Spot in Best States Ranking
For the second year in a row, Washington has been named the best state in the U.S. by U.S. News & World Report. The 2021 list evaluated each state based on what people value the most, including healthcare, education, the economy, opportunity, and more. The life science industry was highlighted as an area that Washington has seen growth in over the past year, contributing to the state’s sustained economic development. In addition, Washington ranked highly for its strong secondary education system and low-carbon energy infrastructure.
