Seattle Children’s Therapeutics leverages biotech innovation in quest for new treatments for kids
Seattle Children’s Hospital, consistently ranked as one of the best children’s hospitals in the U.S., has launched a new endeavor: Seattle Children’s Therapeutics. This research institution will streamline the development of pediatric treatments, including research and development, manufacturing, and conducting clinical trials. The goal of this new effort is to boost the development of new cell and gene therapies for pediatric cancer and other diseases afflicting children.
“The interest in cell therapies right now is tremendous on a global basis,” said Leslie Alexandre, CEO of Life Science Washington. “[Our region] has staked out an early leadership position in this area. I’m thrilled to see what Seattle Children’s has done.”
