State life science industry launches job push
Amid an economic downturn, Washington state’s life science industry is growing and hiring for hundreds of open positions at all levels. To fuel this expansion, Life Science Washington launched its “Find Your Best Life in Washington” campaign to attract top talent to the area. The trade association has also partnered with multiple Seattle-area colleges to help individuals transition to a career in the life science industry, where many jobs are skilled labor and don’t require a four-year degree.
Leslie Alexandre, CEO of Life Science Washington, said of the initiative: “We eagerly welcome people to come and join our ecosystem or to be trained from our schools and colleges. We can change the world.”
